Announcement to Parishioners (Jan. 2007)

Parish Meeting, February 4, 2007—The Annual Meeting of Parish of Christ Church will
be held on Sunday, February 4 immediately following the 10am service. At the meeting the Rector will make his Annual Report. The closing financial statement will be made available to the members of the parish, the budget for 2007 will be presented to the parish and new members of the Vestry will be elected.   All parishioners are urged to attend the meeting.

At the Annual Meeting the congregation will elect one warden and three members of the Vestry.  In accordance with the By-laws of Christ Church, the Nominating Committee will present a slate of nominees for all positions.  Parishioners in good standing may be nominated up to 15 days prior to the Annual Meeting provided that each nominee’s petition is seconded by a member of Christ Church.  This year nominations must be received in the church office by Saturday, January 20 to be eligible for election to the Vestry at the Annual Meeting.  All petitions must have the name and signature of the nominator, the person to be nominated and the person who seconds the nomination.  Nominations from the floor during the Annual Meeting are not permitted.

Persons qualified to vote at the Annual Meeting must be baptized members of the parish who have attained eighteen years of age and have been regular in attendance at parish worship and contributors to the support of the parish for a period of twelve (12) months prior to the Annual Meeting.  However, all interested members of the parish are welcome and encouraged to attend the meeting.

The Nominating Committee considered the following candidates qualified and recommended them for election by the parish at the Annual Meeting.

Committee Reports

All Parish Committee reports must be in the parish office no later than Monday, January 22nd for inclusion in the Annual Parish Meeting booklet. Reports received after the deadline will not be included in the publication. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
