How Can I Put God's Word into ACTION?
Acolytes
The Acolytes serve at the altar during services of worship. The Acolytes Guild is open to young people from 7th grade through high school and all adults in the parish.
In addition to service on Sundays and Holy Days, the Acolytes Guild will have periodic training sessions and fun and fellowship activities.
If anyone would like to be a member of the Acolytes Guild, please see Valerie Siener or call the parish office at 516-627-2184.
Chalice Bearers
The Lay Eucharistic Ministers are licensed to administer the chalice at celebrations of the Holy Eucharist and to bring communion to hospitals, nursing homes and to shut-ins. Participation as a Lay Eucharistic Minister requires training at the Mercer School in Garden City and licensing by the Bishop of Long Island.
This year we are hoping to have the Lay Eucharistic Ministers do more of the hospital and shut-in communions. We project that we will do between 120 and 150 communions each year. Please contact the office if you would be interested in joining the Lay Eucharistic Ministers.

Inspiration
I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; And I will glorify thy name for evermore. Psalm 86:12
Ushers
At the 10 a.m. Holy Eucharist, ushers and oblation bearers serve the congregation by helping them with programs, keeping a good order and flow of parishioners coming to the altar at the Eucharist, receiving the alms and presenting the bread and the wine on behalf of the congregation to be blessed and consecrated at the altar.
Families and individuals are most welcome to serve with the Ushers and Oblation Bearers. Please call the parish office if you would like to be a member of the Ushers and Oblation Bearers Guild.
