Long Island Council of Churches’ Pantry

November Update - Many thanks to those parishioners, of all ages, who continue to support the Christ Church Hunger Program with food in the basket in the Church or Parish Hall and our very special thanks to Carol Allen and Lette Snodgrass who delivered 32 bags of non-perishable food from Christ Church to the Long Island council of Churches’ Hunger Program on Monday, November 14.

Any non-perishable food items are always welcome and may be put in the basket in the rear of the church, or in the parish hall at any time or checks may be mailed directly to the Long Island Council of Churches Hunger Program, 1644 Denton Green, Hempstead, NY 11550.

Fourth Food Sunday – Please remember the fourth Sunday of each month to bring a non-perishable food item for those who are hungry and less fortunate.

We are always made more aware of the need to feed the hungry during holiday seasons. However, hunger occurs 365 days a year and the Long Island Council of Churches’ Hunger Program, the only emergency food program on Long Island, needs your year-round support.

Non-perishable food items are always welcome and may be brought in for the basket in church.
