Christmas Pageant - Dec. 18
____________________________________________________________________________________________
The Big Buildup ...
On Sunday the 18th of December, our youth celebrated the upcoming season with
our annual Christmas pageant at the 10am service. Pictures are now on-line
for your beckon call!

This was a terrific chance for all
parishioners to see our expressive young actresses and actors in costume under
the bright lights of off-off-Broadway. And if you've seen the recent
Halloween photos, these guys and gals really know how to mug for a camera.
Many thanks to Lisa Carr and all the parents who worked so hard to make
this year's pageant such a smashing success.
The Spirit of Christmas
Our production planning is in high gear - producers are forming their casts,
choreographers are marking their dance steps (one-two-crossover-boom!)
and animal trainers have honed their shovels (ahem!).
Yet, the true sentiment that embodies all this hard work by our creative staff
is beautifully penned by our executive director - Lisa Carr
Around Christmas time,
some of us long for an Old Fashioned Celebration.
You
know... readings and carols from a time gone by...
... and children dressed as angels, in flowing white, carrying delicate,
glistening candles.
Children dressed as shepherds in flowing robes, ragged from their wear, or tiny ones with furry costumes and floppy ears
like friendly beasts, inhabiting the manger.
Kings adorned, singing alleluia!
And Mary and Joseph singing praises to God on high
for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our Pageant shares all of these glorious sights and sounds.
Sing with the children, while they reenact the wondrous Christmas Eve long ago.
Share the magic, peace and love,
that's sent to us, from God above.
Jesus cradled in a manger,
for us, facing every danger,
living as a homeless stranger,
make, we Thee, our King, most dear.
See you Sunday, December 18th. 10:00 a.m. !!!
