Worship

Joint Service with Korean Church

Sunday, November 20, we will have an altered worship schedule. Our 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM will all be said Eucharists. The main service, however, will be a combined worship with the New Heart Mission Church at 11:15 AM. This will not be a celebration of the Holy Eucharist. It will be a service of prayer, singing, scripture reading and a sermon responding to our oneness in Christ and our thankfulness for all of God's blessings. It will be followed by a lunch for Christ Church and the New Heart Mission Church members. The New Heart Church will provide the lunch for all; Christ Church will provide dessert and beverages.

All Church School students are asked to come to the church for the first part of the service. The young people from Christ Church and the New Heart Church will go to the Parish House before the sermon to get to know each other in shared classroom activities. They will then join all of us for lunch in the Parish House.

Weddings, Baptisms, etc.

Christ Church is a family church!  We embrace and celebrate those rites that are central to family life. Are you planning a wedding?   Would you like to schedule a baptism for your child or yourself?  Perhaps you need to know more about communion or confirmation?  We can help you.

Holy Eucharist (Communion)

The center of the life of the church is communal worship—and at Christ Church the focus of worship is the Holy Eucharist. Each Sunday we gather to share in the mystery of Christ’s presence in bread and wine, made for us into the living presence of the Christ. At Christ Church all ages participate in the Eucharistic celebration.

Particpate in the Service

In addition to clergy participation in the liturgy, we also have a large group of lay-people who regularly assist at the Eucharist. This includes lectors, intercessors, lay-Eucharistic ministers, acolytes, choristers and members of the altar guild. Young people in junior and senior high school are also encouraged to participate as lectors and intercessors.

Pastoral Care

Father Lowry or a trained lay minister is available to visit you in the hospital or at home. Please click on counseling if you would like to meet with Father Lowry privately.
