Our Town - Christ Church Youth Group

October Calendar

Manhasset Middle and High Schools, the final frontier, these are the voyages of the wacky Senior Youth Group, its three year mission, to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no teen has gone before!

OK, stop the cheezy intro theme.  We're just getting started with this year's fun-filled activities ... so we don't have a calendar ready ... just a definite plan to get together with Penny (our most excellent and fearless leader) every Thursday from 5-7pm in the Parish Hall basement.

So ... come on by ... hang out a while ... and help us plan this year's fellowship, outreach and earth-shaking, heart-stopping outings!

(Pinky ... we're going to take over the worrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrld!)

Every Thursday

We are FAM-IL-LEE!!! (Notes From Last Year's Intrepid Performers)

Well, we're a group ... or maybe a clan? ... some young thugs, er ... forget that!  Anyway, Fr. Lowry and Gideon the Magnificent (our famed illusionist-in-training) hosted our kickoff gathering today.  Good times were had by all, especially after we snarfed down some major pizza, courtesy of Christ Church.

The "how well do you REALLY know the person next to you" contest was da bomb!!!  Under the cloak of darkness, everyone wrote down one SECRET fact about themselves and challenged the masses to guess who it belonged to.  While no one expected this Spanish Inquisition, we figured out everyone's evil past.  Like ...

I once ate 14 pancakes at IHOP (and thereby earned the lifetime ban
from the Harvest Buffet, no doubt)

I learned to ski well in one day (well, we know who's destined for a
successful career in telemarketing .... can you draw "Skippy"?)

I was once kidnapped for 2 days (Britney's ex's are everywhere!!!)

Justin makes me squeal, I can't live without him (funny, all the women
         answered this way)

Going forward ... we'll come back with deep thoughts on what our destiny as a Sr. High group should be, likely next activities (fun, service, outreach) and answers to the meaning of life.  See you on Sunday, October 24th!!!
