LEADERSHIP
In the Episcopal Church, a group of lay people have responsibility and authority for the buildings, governance and finance of a parish church. This group is known as the Wardens and Vestry. At Christ Church there are two Wardens, designated Senior Warden and Junior Warden, and six additional members of the Vestry.

The Wardens and Vestry, along with the Rector (in our current case, the Priest-in-Charge), meet together on the third Monday of each month to discuss important matters about the Parish of Christ Church. Each year the Wardens and Vestry, along with the Rector, have a formal meeting with all members of the Christ Church Parish. This is known as the Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting of the Christ Church Parish takes place on the first Sunday in the month of February. In addition, the Rector, Wardens and Vestry have informal sessions with interested members of the parish at least twice a year to share information about the work of the Vestry and to hear about the aspirations and concerns of members of the parish. These meetings generally take place directly after the 10 a.m. service on Sunday mornings.

All Vestry meetings are open to all members of the parish, and members of the parish are warmly welcome at the meetings. Each year the Vestry nominates new members for the Vestry and all members of Christ Church are urged to make themselves available to serve the parish and this important function.
